On December 10, 2020, the Sixth Meeting of the Second Council of the Shanghai International Shipping Center Development Promotion Association and the Third Summit on “New Era, Great Navigation, Strong Nation Dream—Intelligent Shipping and New Infrastructure” were held in Shanghai. At the event, Shanghai Jiuhe Ship Technology Group Co., Ltd. was awarded the “Shipping Science and Technology Innovation Award” of the Shanghai International Shipping Center Construction Initiative. This award selection initiative aims to implement the State Council’s guidance on accelerating the development of the Shanghai International Shipping Center, recognizing enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to this endeavor. The winners were selected through multiple rounds of evaluation by the Expert Committee of the Shanghai International Shipping Center Development Promotion Association.

The “China International Ship Trading Network,” developed by Shanghai Jiuhe Ship Technology Group, is a global, integrated online ship trading platform built upon the “Internet + Shipping” model. It specializes in online ship transactions, online bidding/auctions, ship design and construction, ship inspection and valuation, and other ship-related transaction functions and supporting services. To date, the platform has over 34,000 registered members spanning more than 40 countries worldwide and hosts over 6,000 ship listings available for transaction. It maintains a professional “Internet + Shipping” operations team and plans to further deepen applications and innovation in this domain, striving to build a more convenient, professional, efficient, and secure online ship trading platform for global maritime stakeholders. By enhancing integrated sharing of information resources, the platform seeks to foster new models of win-win cooperation across the maritime industry and actively contribute to strengthening Shanghai’s capacity to attract and allocate global shipping resources as an international shipping center.
At the Third Summit on “New Era, Great Navigation, Strong Nation Dream—Intelligent Shipping and New Infrastructure,” several distinguished guests delivered keynote speeches, including Mr. Xu Zuyuan, former Vice Minister of Transport and Maritime Goodwill Ambassador of the International Maritime Organization (IMO); Professor Lin Zhongqin, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and Professor Yan Xinping, Chief Professor at Wuhan University of Technology and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
